San Luis Obispo continues to make headlines left and right this September! From Eater LA to Los Angeles Times, San Luis Obispo is the talk of the town with our trip worthy restaurants, Bubblegum Alley and CowParade SLO. Discover San Luis Obispo’s media highlights from September 2016.
This September, Eater LA hit the road for a foodie adventure along the Central Coast. On the hunt for the best eats in town, the Eater team named Scout Coffee and Firestone Bar & Grill their favorites in San Luis Obispo. Not only does Scout Coffee now have two locations in SLO, this picture-perfect coffee shop will win you over with its scrumptious, “Instagram-worthy cup of coffee” and delightful setting. When lunch rolls around, head over to Firestone Grill and nosh on their legendary, mouthwatering tri-tip sandwich and fries.
One of the oddest yet most fascinating landmarks in San Luis Obispo, Bubblegum Alley is a bucket list attraction you won’t want to miss out on when visiting SLO. Los Angeles Times revealed the hidden majesty of San Luis Obispo’s famous Bubblegum Alley and its (supposed) rival gum wall in Seattle. Check out this video to see which city is crowned the gooey king! Don’t forget to share your bubblicious photos with #ShareSLO, too.
Asking yourself, “What in the world is a CowParade?” CowParade is one of the largest public art events in the world, travelling to over 200 million people and 75 cities worldwide. From September 2016 to May 2017, CowParade is calling San Luis Obispo home with 101 cows placed throughout the county. Decorated by local creatives and renowned artists, these life-sized, fiberglass cow canvases are on display for the public to enjoy so hop on one of the many CowParade trails today.
Catch a glimpse of Man One, a world-renowned graffiti artist, and his biggest fan Dylan Ehmke, painting cows live during the CowParade SLO launch event!
