Harvest on the Coast 2015

The weekend started off on Friday night with Crafted on the Coast, a collaborative winemaker dinner that was hosted at the beautiful Biddle Ranch Vineyard House in the heart of Edna Valley. Acclaimed chef, Julie Simon, from Foremost Wine Co. was serving up delicious bites for everyone in attendance.

On Saturday, attendees were encouraged to “Go Coastal” and celebrate the end of harvest. Can’t complain when it’s sunny and 72 degrees out at the beginning of November, making for a picturesque event! Huge white tents spanned across the grassy lawn of Avila Beach Golf Club, bustling with people as the band Moonshiner Collective played.


The outdoor Grand Tasting on Saturday featured local wine and artisan foods from around the Central Coast. The tasting was accompanied with a wine auction that benefitted Womanade. The live auction featured a broad selection of rare wines, culinary treats and SLO Wine Country destination experiences. VIP seating was available for groups of 8, where complimentary food and wine was served throughout the live auction.

The wine tasting didn’t end there… attendees were given a 2-for-1 grand tasting ticket that allowed people to explore the Central Coast wineries at SLO Wine’s inaugural “Slider Sunday.” Each tasting room featured their own slider which was paired with wines. Wineries were also offering 6-pack wine specials for people who attended Saturday’s Grand Tasting. As you can see, I without a doubt had an amazing time at Harvest on the Coast this year!
