Built to display the diverse native plants and flowers of Mediterranean climates, the San Luis Obispo Botanical Gardens is a serene and relaxing spot for the whole family. With opportunities for education, recreation, conservation and research, the San Luis Obispo Botanical Garden offers docent-led nature tours, activities for kids, a garden shop, educational gardening classes, a concert series and many other events for San Luis Obispo visitors to enjoy for free.
The San Luis Obispo Botanical Garden is located at 3450 Dairy Creek Road on Highway 1 in El Chorro Regional Park, between San Luis Obispo and Morro Bay.
Admission is free. Parking at El Chorro Regional Park is $3 April through September on weekends and holidays.
The San Luis Obispo Botanical Garden is open during daylight hours in El Chorro Regional Park. For seasonal hours, call Eve's Garden Shop, Library offices, and the Oak Glen Pavilion (closed on Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, and New Year's Day).
